 Ron Welby has over 20 years experience working with businesses and assisting them with their media and marketing needs. Ron started working for Belo Communications in New England as a senior manager in charge of new product development. It was there that he found the Internet and the Internet found him. Quickly adapting his technical abilities to this new emerging media, he found himself launching new online products for thousands of local businesses in the Providence area. He was later recruited by Infosys as their senior vice president of sales. He was then hired by Gatehouse Media as their business development manager. Ron has enjoyed a number of senior roles as a sales development specialist, assisting local businesses of all sizes to find new marketing solutions online. Ron’s latest venture was in Hartford, Connecticut as director of new media sales for WTNH/ WTCX-TV, where he was responsible for helping hundreds of businesses find new revenue online. Ron brings to the Sales Opportunities Network years of experience in the emerging online world, as well as a passion for helping businesses excel in tough economic times. Ron resides in Portsmouth, RI, where he is married with four children. He is a founding past member of the Board of New England New Media Association, a board member of Good Will Industries of RI, a United Way volunteer, and past president of Portsmouth High School Athletic Boosters.
